About Kat Vollono and Radiant Self Therapy

Where sensitivity is a strength, and success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your peace.

Hi, I’m Kat Vollono, LCSW (NY, FL, CT)

she/her/hers

Founder and therapist at Radiant Self Therapy

You’ve built a successful life—on paper, everything looks right. But inside, something feels off. You may be navigating the invisible weight of relationship anxiety, burnout from balancing a demanding career and new motherhood, or the quiet ache of not feeling fully seen—even in your closest relationships.

If you’re here, it’s likely because you want more. More ease. More confidence. More connection that actually feels good. I want that for you, too.

A different kind of therapy—depth, compassion, and real change

As a highly sensitive person, parent, and partner, I deeply understand the emotional and relational overwhelm that can come with trying to “keep it all together.” I spent years pretending I was fine, playing the perfectionism game, and staying quiet to keep the peace—until I learned how to accept my sensitivity and honor my own needs in relationships.

Now, with over a decade of experience as a psychotherapist, I help women do the same: reclaim their voice, rebuild self-trust, and create the relationships they crave—starting with the one they have with themselves.

At Radiant Self Therapy, we go far beyond surface-level symptom relief. I help you understand the why behind your anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing, and we work together to heal it from the root. My approach blends deep inner work with practical tools, drawing from EMDR, somatic therapy, relational and psychodynamic models, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nervous system-based modalities.

You don’t have to choose between ambition and emotional well-being

Many of my clients are highly capable, ambitious women—leaders, creatives, and professionals—who feel like their personal lives haven’t caught up to their outer success. Some are new moms navigating identity shifts. Others are wrestling with financial anxiety, intimacy fears, or patterns of self-silencing that date back years. Many have been in therapy before, but didn’t get to the depth they needed.

This work is for those ready to go there—with honesty, curiosity, and courage.

Specializations

What it’s like to work with me

Clients often describe our sessions as deep but accessible, challenging but compassionate. I bring warmth, humor, and realness into the room, holding a space that is affirming, feminist, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental. I’ll gently challenge you to explore what’s not working and support you in building something new.

We’ll explore patterns rooted in attachment, identity, and early experiences—but we’ll also laugh, breathe, cry, and celebrate growth. This is your space to show up fully, without editing.

My approach is:

  • Relational – We explore how early and current relationships shape your experience.
  • Somatic – We engage the body, breath, and nervous system to release stuck patterns.
  • Depth-Oriented – We move beyond coping into transformation.
  • Strength-Based – You’re not broken—you’re brilliant and sensitive in a world that rarely honors that.
  • Modern & Mindful – Think boutique therapy with integrity, humor, and heart.
